Elon Musk will settle a $128 million lawsuit with 4 Twitter executives whom he fired after taking up the corporate in 2022.
Considered one of Musk’s first moves upon shopping for Twitter was to fireplace CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and prime attorneys Sean Edgett and Vijaya Gadde. The 4 executives by no means obtained severance funds, which they declare is as a result of they tried to carry Musk to his $44 billion dedication when he tried to back out of shopping for the corporate. The lawsuit even quotes Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk, which quotes him as saying that he would “hunt each single one” of Twitter’s C-suite “until the day they die.”
Whereas a courtroom submitting confirms that the events have reached a settlement, it’s not but clear what the phrases of that settlement are.
It’s not simply these executives who’ve sued Musk for severance funds. Musk not too long ago settled a class action lawsuit regarding 6,000 laid-off Twitter workers. Many of those former Twitter workers complained that they obtained incomplete severance funds or didn’t obtain severance funds in any respect.
